I had the honor of painting a mural for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The commission is in the recently renovated IT development lab, so I designed this scene of a retro-inspired robot. These robots are the quintessential symbols of futurism and technology. plus it is timeless; the technology in the lab might change over the years, but the symbol that this robot holds will stay the same.

Further, this robot seemed fitting to feature in this piece as it is a robot that I used to doodle in my grade school notebooks. Although it is a pretty major departure from my typical work, to pay homage to my artistic roots in such an important place to me as the Met seemed right.
