Tom Ruple, a painter based between Columbia, South Carolina, draws inspiration from identity, religion, and his close-knit upbringing. After earning a bachelor's degree in studio art from Brevard College, he immersed himself in Harlem's vibrant art scene. Furthering his passion, he completed a master's in museum administration at St. John's University in Queens.

Tom's art, an enigmatic fusion of symbolism and emotion, delves into the essence of the human spirit, inviting viewers on an introspective journey. Currently working in Florence, Italy at the Angel Academy of Art, his ever-evolving work continues to resonate worldwide.

My artistic practice revolves around the exploration of personal mythologies and allegories- manifesting through the figure, traditional materials, and symbolism. My works are a testament to the human experience, transcending time and cultural barriers, and offering a glimpse into the depths of my own soul. Through the language of art, I aspire to forge a profound and lasting connection with those who engage with my creations, ultimately inviting them to embark on their own journey of self-discovery.
